Feedback Results

To our dear valued patients

Thank you very much for taking the time to participate in our recent patient feedback survey.

The team here at Hallett Cove Corner Surgery prides ourselves on delivering the best possible outcomes for our patients’ and that includes your experience. So we welcome and proactively seek your feedback.

From our latest round of surveys conducted in 2023 the vast majority of our results were excellent. Despite our great feedback, we acknowledge what our patients say and agree there is still room for improvement. Here are our current focus areas. We welcome your ongoing feedback and support as we continuously improve in these areas.

Sometimes our waiting times blow out too much

What we are doing:

Let patients know on arrival if the doctor is running late.  Point out that there is coffee shop just a couple of doors down.  At busy times, offer for you, the patient to call us before heading to the practice.

You, as the patient could let us know if you are arriving with more than one problem so we can offer a longer consultation.

Our shared goal:

A smoother experience for all patients and members of the practice team.

Sometimes I am not able to see a doctor when I need to

What we are doing:

Start keeping some appointments set aside for each day in case of emergencies.

We are actively recruiting for another GP, ideally female.

Our shared goal:

Quickly being able to attend to emergencies and a more diverse team of practitioners to offer to our patients.

Appearance of the surgery is run down, could do with some improvements.

What we are doing:

We have purchased brand new chairs for the waiting room and the building has been painted very recently.  We are in the planning for more improvements in the next 12 months.

Our shared goal:

A more pleasant experience in the waiting room.

You have also told us that doctors do not stay for long and turnover is excessive. The reason for this is that we are a teaching practice and have had many registrars (doctors in training) and part of their pathway is rotating through different practices. This is beyond our control, but we are proud to have mentored at least 20 registrars who have spent time with us, helping pave their way to a successful medical career.
